A FILM challenge!

It’s that time again! Time for a challenge! As part of the “MOBster” team at, I was asked if I would like to participate in a great little challenge to create a fun,creative window screen!

The guidelines:  Craft to my hearts content using  the “Thomas Hicks Window Film” provided by ( CHECK) and have FUN ( CHECK)!

Those of you have been following for a while, know that I am a lover of challenges!! They don’t always turn out for me, but they are ALWAYS FUN!!!  I played around with a few different ideas, and decided on arrows! I was pretty happy with how they turned out !!

Rug Re-use {DIY}

Painted Rug DIY

Happy Earth Day!! This year, I decided to try my hand at Re-using something in honor of Earth Day. I have been looking at painted rugs on Pinterest for months, but was VERY skeptical about how one may turn out. Well, it turned out lovely and I am so happy with the results!! PLUS, I was able to use our runner that I have dis-liked ( for our house) since I got it!!

My High Point, at High Point….

Its actually been a month already since I went to High Point Furniture Market!! My gosh how time flies!! What a whirl wind my first trip to Market was!! I met SO many great people, made brilliant connections in my industry, and saw SO MANY beautiful things!! OMG!

One of the “high points” of this particular trip, was meeting up with the ever so talented Michele, from the popular blog, Mod Design Guru. She and I had an absolute blast catching up, and meeting new people!! ( including our new BFF’s Olivia and Lindsey…..)

As I was walking from showroom, to showroom of the manufactures that I have been using for over 15 years ( Bernhardt, Century, Arteriors) it occurred to me how terrible my excuses have been over the years as to WHY I haven’t ever gone to Market!! You know the typical, no time, no energy, not my thing, excuses. Well, I have been missing out!!,

The biggest thing that stuck out to me was TEXTURE! beautiful texture as a spotlight everywhere!!
