It has been COLD here in the south!!WOW!! In the last few weeks, it has been rainy AND cold..so Last Sunday, we decided to do some original art for Liams play room/our 3rd bedroom. We are once again very lucky, that our new landlords don’t mind if we make changes around here. However, they requested that we do not paint in the 3rd bedroom..which is knotty pine. Lovely. I’m not a fan. BUT part of making a rental your HOME, is doing what you can with what you have…so we are jumping right in!! Im starting with Liams Art area, by having him create a few original paintings…and this was our first. (I will post later about how I am trying to decide to have a multi functional playroom, which will also act as a guest room, and coincidentally also has a built in desk…)
I have lots of inexpensive canvasses laying around all different sizes, so we started with a smaller one first. I let Liam select the colors. He selected the ones that were on the top of my pile, which were Green, Blue and Gold. ( So I think we are going with a green scheme in this room).
First, as I said above, we selected a small sized, blank canvass. I then let Liam do his thing..he used a paintbrush..
Here is the finished product. I am happy with how it turned out, now I just need to hang it, and have Liam make about 4 more! BUT, those can wait until another cold blustery day!!
