Island Design - Design Thoughts STUDIO

Hi!! As you all know, we have just returned from a wonderful family trip to St.Thomas Virgin Islands! I was so inspired by all of the bright saturated color! Everywhere we went we were either surrounded by beautiful interiors that used neutral textures mixed with bright Aquas, Reds, Oranges, Magenta’s, and Reds, or Mother Earth herself, in all of her glory, wearing her finest jewels…The Caribbean Sea, the Sun and the white sands! It was beyond inspiring! Every single way you look you are just showered with color and light. Take a look at a few of the shots I took while there, some with my actual camera, some with my iPhone, you will be able to tell the difference 😉

A crazy cool ceiling at one of the local Sea Side restaurants that we dined at almost every night! It was literally on the sea ! Awesome food, Awesome atmosphere and awesome ceiling!

I love the use of crisp white on the islands! Here is a great example, although not a great picture, of the neutral textures I am talking about! So well done here!

Our pool view while at Frenchman’s Reef Resort! their whole pool set up was RIDICULOUSLY amazing!! Although G and I are really beach type people, I found myself looking around, sipping my Margarita, saying, “yep, I could get use to this”…
