A few days ago, I was looking at our chartreuse built in that is in our hallway, and I just knew it was time to change colors!! It was feeling drab, and un-inspired. Let me back up a little, I was at Target a few days ago, and I picked up a white ceramic turtle on clearance for $5, and 2 cute glossy frames on sale for $2 ea !! SO when I put turtle on our little shelf, I was less than excited. Which in turn, made me start thinking about the color! Yes, this really IS how my mind wanders!
Anyway, a few coats of paint, a very simple and quick DIY later, I am loving our little shelf area again!!
After Paint, but still not done.
After I was done painting, and loving the color I selected ( Behr Ultra #2753 eggshell), I could see there was still something missing, SO I went to my craft box and pulled out some paper for a quick DIY. Take a look at the steps I took!!
First, I had to look through all my paper!! I narrowed the choice down to two, then eventually chose the floral!
And here is the Final result ( for now!!)
