GOODWILL treasures!!

HOLY CATS Y’all!! ( I can say that now because I live in the south!) I have never..I mean NEVER been so excited about a find at Goodwill. I mean…its insane. First of all…my friends who live in the south have always told me how amazing consignment shopping was…but in New York, I NEVER had any luck. The stores were always so picked over, that I lost interest very quick ( with the exception of our “Saturday Junk shop” that I miss!)

Here is how it all went down…Enter Goodwill..see 2 youngish designer type women sprint to the back of the store..I haul Liam and JoJo and the Diaper bag and his snack and a drink..to sneakily follow them ( LOL) I see they are rampaging through the AWESOME gold leafed frames that must have just been delivered. I don’t even need gold Leafed frames, but they were SO into it, that I thought for a minute I was too..then they took all 6!! At that moment, I realized this was a new type of Goodwill experience!!

I rummaged through the stuff , quickly and efficiently I might add…not finding anything of much value..THEN.as I was leaving I saw them…4 chairs ( Eames knock offs) buried under some blankets! In a minute I snatched the best one without even looking at the price tag, I assumed it would be around $30 or so since it was in amazing condition. I ran to the check out, afraid that the super designer duo may snatch it from my hands..the lady rang me up and promptly asked me for my $4.99……..WHAT!!! the fricken amazing Eames knock off was four dollars and ninety-nine cents!!!!!!!! I dont know why my designer sixth sense didnt take over at that exact moment ( you know the one that would suggest I pay a mere $15 for the other 3!!) I am pretty sure it had something to do with the spilled drink, the pretzels on the floor and Liam handing me a “boogie” right as I was trying to pay…anyway Take a look!!

Once I told my husband about this amazing deal, he looked it up ( the designer info..Alphaville Design was on the bottom) and this is what he found..Amazing Find

I became so obsessed with Goodwill, that I passed a different one the exact same day, and found this…

A lamp with out a shade, but I have a million extras..I paid $7.99 for it!! I plan on painting it a bright color for a little spring project I have coming up.

SO thats it..my great Goodwill finds!! I wanna hear all of your great scores!!! I know some of you must have amazing stories!!
