Happy Sunday everyone! My family is visiting from Florida, and I am so happy to have them here! There is no comparison to having people you love, and who love you, sit in the morning sun, and drink coffee together and just be family.! …I actually just realized as I read that first part back… Sitting with people who you love, and who love you. THAT is what family is..so no matter HOW your family came to be, whether through blood, or just simply through your paths being pointed in the same direction, we ALL have an opportunity to create family. It really gives life so much more meaning.
So think about WHO is in your “family”. Who makes up your everyday family and who makes up your lifelong family. Just think…some of them, you haven’t even met yet!! How exciting is that!! 9 yrs ago, when I left Michigan to move to New York, I would never have assumed that I would meet some of my closest friends that I know will be in my life forever. They are my family. My girlfriend “J” from Kindergarten..SHE is my family…my closest girlfriends from highschool..THEY are my family…there is an opportunity, no matter how far away your blood family lives, to surround yourself with the people you love, and who love you.
Enjoy your family. Drink coffee in the Sunlight. Soak it all in. It strengthens your light, it strengthens your life. I promise!
