Its actually been a month already since I went to High Point Furniture Market!! My gosh how time flies!! What a whirl wind my first trip to Market was!! I met SO many great people, made brilliant connections in my industry, and saw SO MANY beautiful things!! OMG!
One of the “high points” of this particular trip, was meeting up with the ever so talented Michele, from the popular blog, Mod Design Guru. She and I had an absolute blast catching up, and meeting new people!! ( including our new BFF’s Olivia and Lindsey…..)
As I was walking from showroom, to showroom of the manufactures that I have been using for over 15 years ( Bernhardt, Century, Arteriors) it occurred to me how terrible my excuses have been over the years as to WHY I haven’t ever gone to Market!! You know the typical, no time, no energy, not my thing, excuses. Well, I have been missing out!!,
The biggest thing that stuck out to me was TEXTURE! beautiful texture as a spotlight everywhere!!

And beautiful metals…neither are new to the design industry, but I saw SO much of it done really well!!

I finally met Carisa Marie and Jon Strauss who have teamed up together to create CmJs Creative! Completly blown away by their ingenuity and fresh approach on lighting and furniture!!
